Edwina Kimball, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Account Team Manager shared the following insights about her team and what makes them a critical component of BDK’s business and our customers’ success.
- What is the Account Team's primary function at BDK, Inc.?
The primary function of the Account Team at BDK, Inc. is to provide current and future customers with the best IT solution recommendations for their business. They focus on bringing in new customers, supporting current customers, and staying up to date with the latest technology and industry trends. The team also assesses risks and attends seminars to learn about current developments in the market, and works closely with internal staff and aggregators to ensure smooth operations and achieve their quarterly goals.
- Who is your team comprised of?
The Account Team consists of myself and Account Managers—culminating in more than 40 years of industry experience. While our team is somewhat regionally based, everyone works within a specific knowledge scope.
For example, MSP is handled by Tony Holt and Frank Gunsallus; larger hardware and bigger customers are driven by myself and Erin Tobin, VoIP is managed by Tony, and Hosting goes through me. Ultimately though, the Account Team works together in many efforts to ensure the success of BDK, Inc.
- What is the best part of being part of the Account Team?
The best part of being part of the Account Team is being part of a close-knit group of professionals with a collective wealth of experience. With team members like myself, Tony, and Erin who have years of experience, we are able to draw on the knowledge gained from countless customer interactions and ensure we're providing current and future customers with the best IT solutions for their business.
Sales in the technology industry can be challenging due to the complexity of the products and the ever-changing IT industry. Working together as a team allows us to take a collaborative approach to best serve our customers. By drawing on our collective knowledge and expertise, we can ensure the best practices are being used to meet our customer’s needs.
- What should BDK customers know about the Account Team?
At BDK, our Account Team is dedicated to providing exemplary customer service. We understand that each customer has unique needs, and we strive to provide tailored solutions to help meet those needs. Our team is comprised of experienced professionals who are passionate about helping customers succeed. We take the time to listen to customer concerns and develop creative, comprehensive solutions—enabling us to become an extension of their IT team. We never take a one-size-fits-all approach; rather, we customize our services to fit each customer's individual needs. We're here to help, and we look forward to serving you!
- If you could pick a mascot to represent your team, what would it be and why?
I think a chameleon would be an excellent mascot to represent the Account Team! Chameleons are incredibly adaptive and resilient creatures, which makes them the perfect representation of our team. We're always working hard to stay up to date with the ever-changing world of technology, while also remaining invisible – meaning our work is so seamless and effective, you don't even notice it! Plus, they're colorful and fun, which is definitely a plus!
